A packed suitcase always signals a forth-coming adventure. Therefore, I shall be packing my valise for the up-coming Caerus art residency.
In the 1800’s, an intrepid traveler might explore exotic far-flung climes by toting along an elaborate set of steamer trucks, including portable library, bed and perhaps even a bathtub. Though we now live in an era of carry-on luggage — for the Caerus residency, we are more like a snail carrying your house.
Organizing my wardrobe in advance will help me order my efforts to arrive at the studio on time within my personal working schedule. Also by packing my suitcase, I will impart the reality of the impression that I am outside my normal routine.
Besides, I have all those little shampoo bottles to use.
What supplies would you pack for your residency — real or imaginary?
