Caerus likes asides, the peripheries of things.  He holds scales to tip in your favor if you “catch” his attention.  I think he relates to the idea that luck or opportunity is really a sort of preparation, so that one can move quickly and delicately and decisively when an opportunity, or an inspiration,  hurries by at the very edge of our vision.

The Caerus Artist Residency can foster the state of preparation that best encourages the creative lucky break.  Somerset Maugham, “I only write when I’m inspired.  Fortunately, I’m inspired daily between 9 AM and 1 PM.”  That’s the spirit of Caerus.
